Earlier this week, community representatives met with Deputy Premier and Planning Minister Steven Miles, local MPs Peter Russo and Mark Bailey and local Councillor Steve Griffiths to discuss Brisbane City Council's Draft Neighbourhood Plan for Nathan Moorooka and Salisbury.

The Minister and our elected representatives were sympathetic to community concerns that the Lord Mayor and Council continue to dismiss and ignore community concerns over safety, character, sustainability and amenity from the overdevelopment encouraged in their Draft Plan.

The Minister and State Members were shocked that Brisbane City Council had not provided the State Government with any resident feedback or submissions in the Draft Plan that they had sent to the State Government.

Our community continues to fight for sensible development in line with State Government policy and better outcomes for our neighbourhood rather than 'pots of gold' for the pockets of developers.
